Genes in Space 2020 winning experiment carried out on the ISS
This week marked the culmination of the Genes in Space-8 experiment, designed by 2020 winner Kristoff Misquitta, aboard the ISS! Across five sessions, Astronaut Megan McArthur tested out some brand-new hardware — our Genes in Space Fluorescence Viewer — and carried out Kristoff's experiment, which seeks to understand how drug metabolism is impacted by the conditions of space.
Over the coming weeks, we will be hard at work analyzing Megan's results. In the meantime, we're sharing some highlights from an eventful few weeks below.
